We have had a wonderful week together with just the four of us on the farm, however, I am missing Josie and Bruce, this 2 week trip is the longest they’ve ever been away. I imagine they will look slightly different having had 2 weeks to grow without observing them daily. I keep seeing their photos and belongings and thinking how lucky I am to have them and how nice I am going to be when they come home to me
.
We have power! Electrical power, that is, which means we are enjoying two new electrical inventions; air conditioning & refrigeration. I have been able to deep clean our camper, bake fresh bread, and take the girls to the creek down the road. Delaney is quickly growing out of her newborn sized clothes. She is eating, on demand, all the time. Iona loves the baby and is so sweet with her, singing, talking, hugging, and kissing her

I have recently been reading a book called “I Love You Rituals” by Becky Bailey and I have been incorporating some songs and poems into our good morning, transitions, and good night routine. I have been really focusing on taking good care of myself emotionally and spiritually, by meditating in the morning, practicing wim hoff breathing, and making spending time with God a priority. I am reading Ephesians with a book club over with my friend who writes “a homemaker’s manifesto,”
the next several weeks. I have also been going to a women’s bible study and worship service to help surround myself with positive energy, mentors, make new friends and have constant reminders of His love and Spirit in my heart, mind, and life. I would like to say thank you to all of the women in this community who have been mentoring me for years. Many of you are longtime friends who have provided me with a maternal figure to confide in, learn home making skills from , ask for ‘in the moment’ advice, you know who you are, thank you.Yesterday, I took Iona and Delaney to Timbo. There is an awesome little grocery store with a kitchen/ deli and a laundry mat next door. I had a delicious pork chop lunch special, Iona had a corn dog, we washed our clothes, purchased a pound of smoked turkey breast deli meat for $7.65/lb, fueled up and came home. It will be a little time until we are ready to hook up the washer and dryer, I am so grateful for the Timbo grocery store because the next closest laundry mat is over an hour away. There is a dollar general there also, so I have coffee and cream.

-Betty White
Just to clarify, this isn’t my quote, it was Betty White’s. Snuggling babies, baking bread, folding laundry, it’s actually pretty sweet.
Thanks for reading this, here’s to another successful week. 😊
I simply love your writing, it's so genuine. You are such a sweet, beautiful person inside and out! Until next time, peace and love ❤️
